Sadie is a young black lab who is on her way to graduating the Training Camp Plus program! Sadie came to camp wide open and out of control. She had A LOT of energy that she didn’t know what to do with, which lead to lots of frustration and destruction. Spending 4 weeks with trainer Anitra has done wonders. She still has all of the same energy, but now she has lots of self control and focus, and knows how to pay attention to people to direct her energy. Anitra worked with Sadie to show her how to control her energy when she has to, and also gives her a chance to let loose and be wild!
Yesterday Anitra took Sadie on a trip to Pullen Park. Pullen Park has lots of distractions: kids, a train, a carousel, statues, a lake with geese, ducks, and paddleboats. The weather was perfect, and Sadie got lots of work in. She watched geese float by, held sits from a distance, and got in some Canine Parkour using the rocks and features at the park! Statues are also a big challenge for dogs, but Sadie did great meeting Andy and Opie! At the end of the day, she was dog tired!
Sadie has come a long way during her stay at Dog Training Camp USA and graduates on Sunday!
What a good girl!
