This workshop is taught by Donnie Hult and Anitra Carter, and there are usually several other trainers present and at the ready to answer any questions you might have. Rescue dogs can sometimes be a handful! Coming from a stressful environment like a shelter, being transported from home to home, sometimes having to survive on their own, not knowing what became of their old family or if the next person they meet will be kind to them, can make foster dogs incredibly stressed. This workshop can guide you through that process and allow you to have simple rules and boundaries in place so your foster dog, and any dog in your household, can thrive. The workshop can also address any specific behaviors that might come up. Every dog is different, but what should always stay the same is the calm leadership and confidence that you love them with. This information is also very easy to transfer to the dog’s adoptive home!
This foster workshop is free to all fosters for as many times as you want to attend! Simply sign up by filling out the application on line so we know who will be coming. You can attend with your foster dog or come empty handed and ready to listen. The foster workshop takes place at AniMall Pet Adoption and Outreach Center on Saturday evenings.
