Downtown Raleigh has a very dog friendly atmosphere so getting out and about is not only a great way to socialize, but to practice those manners you work so hard on at home. If you aren’t sure of what your dog will do in a new place with a busy atmosphere, just remember to warm up with walking circles and practicing back to back commands. Practicing obedience drills before any new activity gives a dog mental and physical exercise, burning off excess energy and leading to calm. If you are interested in getting out to events but aren’t sure about your dog, check out one of our Social Outings classes to get started and build your confidence.
All in all, Saturday was nothing but fun for people and dogs alike! We hope to see you out at future events with your dogs in this coming spring weather!
