Luna attended her first Continuing Education class at Brentwood Park yesterday. At class, we work on manners and self control around other dogs and distractions, meeting and being petted by new people, walking politely on a leash without pulling, and incorporating obedience (like sit and come) into the walk. Luna showed off what she’s been working on, and then took a puppy break to settle while Jonathan instructed class. With young puppies, we keep things fun and short. We don’t want to expect a young puppy to work for 45 minutes straight because that will lead to frustration for the dog and human. Instead, we work in short little bursts, allowing Luna to build her attention span and have fun.
She showed off her big girl manners and afterwards took a big nap! Yay Luna!
