Sebastian is great at settling down on his bed. Trainer Jonathan gives him an antler to chew and stay busy. Settle time is much easier for a dog when they have something to do. Make sure whatever you give your dog to gnaw on is size appropriate and hasn’t started to splinter. Bully sticks, antlers, water buffalo horns, or a yummy frozen peanut butter stuffed Kong are just a few things to try to give your dog when you need him to stay busy. It works even better if you reserve that special goodie for settle time so your pup learns to associate the antler with settling on his bed. With consistency, your dog will gravitate to his settle spot on his own.
