Jonathan is a lifelong dog lover. He got his first dog, Sparky, a 3 year old rescued beagle mix, when he was 10 years old. Even though Jonathan’s father had to do most of the work, Jonathan learned a lot about caring for canines and developing relationships with them. Throughout his adult years, Jonathan shared his life and his home with a number of wonderful dogs of various breeds and sizes, many of whom were rescues.
In 2013, after nearly 15 years in banking and accounts receivable, Jonathan decided to pursue his lifelong dream of being a dog trainer. Jonathan thoroughly enjoys the dog training process as well as the companionship of canines. He has volunteered with a number of rescue groups throughout North Carolina, including Saving Grace, in Raleigh, where he currently spends several hours a week training the dogs to be more adoptable and to settle in more easily to their new homes and families.
Jonathan lives in a quiet neighborhood nestled in the heart of the North Hills area of Raleigh, complete with its own private dog park. He spends lots of time there with Goliath, an American Cocker Spaniel, and Nala, a Husky his current canine companions.
